| HOUSING THE HOMELESS MENTALLY ILL

La Primavera
Los Angeles, California
La Primavera is a rehabilitated four-story apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles for single adults who are homeless and who have been diagnosed with some form of mental illness. The project was sponsored by A Community of Friends, a non-profit organization with over 15 years of experience in developing and managing projects for special needs populations. Case management services are provided to the tenants from third-party service providers under contract to the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. The project has also received a ten-year project-based Section 8 contract under the Federal McKinney Act, which provides a rental subsidy.
Hudson Housing is proud to fund projects that provide critical services to those with the greatest need for affordable housing.
