Hudson Housing Deals:

BEYOND HOPE VI

Overton Apartments
Fort Worth, Texas

The Fort Worth Housing Authority teamed up with Carleton Development Company and Hudson Housing Capital, leveraging the value of the Authority’s existing apartment property to create new replacement housing. Overton Apartments, sponsored by the Authority and managed by a private management company, was built with FHA insured bonds and proceeds from the sale of the public housing project in downtown Fort Worth to the RadioShack Corporation.  25% of the units will have public housing tenants, with the other units restricted to households with incomes of less than 50% of Area Median Income.  Accomplishing the task without the use of federal grants through the HOPE VI program is truly remarkable.

Hudson Housing Capital is always looking for innovative ways to replace outmoded public housing with modern affordable homes
