Corde Terra has been constructed above a five acre parking structure on land previously part of the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose.project’s rich facades and strategic placement within the master-planned Corde Terra community have created apartments virtually indistinguishable from the area’s most luxurious housing. Corde Terra received the largest tax credit award in the United States in 2005 and represents one of the most complicated transactions undertaken in tax credit housing history, requiring participation from state, local and county agencies as well as complex arrangements with the Santa Clara Housing Authority and ROEM, a private development company.
