Mr. O’Hanlon joined Hudson Housing Capital in 2014 and serves as Vice President of Acquisitions focusing on the NYC Metropolitan area.
Prior to Hudson, Mr. O’Hanlon had a distinguished career spanning 3 decades with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD). He began at HPD as a project manager, was promoted to director of several housing development programs, and served as Assistant Commissioner for Special Needs Housing for 11 years. At HPD, Mr. O’Hanlon worked on financing for more than 19,000 housing units, including SRO preservation, supportive housing for the homeless and disabled, transitional shelters for the homeless, senior housing, and multiple dwellings for low income families. This work included a variety of capital sources and operating subsidies: LIHTCs, HOME, NYC Capital, State Housing Programs, bond financing, HUD 202 capital funds, commercial debt, Section 8, Shelter Plus Care, and several additional City and State administered programs.
Mr. O’Hanlon holds a BA from Boston University and a PhD in Environmental Psychology from the Graduate Center, CUNY.
